Daghestan Soumakh, with 3 asymmetric medallions, crests, Stars of David and trees of life. This flat weave rug was woven in the Daghestan village of Zizik. The ornamental features show the influence of mountain Jews, and Armenians Christians who have lived in the multi ethnic region between the Black and Caspian seas for thousands of years.
